A Note on Ethics
Not all ancestors have good intentions, be mindful of this and before the journey say,
“Water, Air, Fire and Wood, welcome ancestors who bring nothing but love.”

Speaking with an ancestor can stir up a wave of emotions, so approach this meditation with plenty of self-love.

Who Will Appear?
It might be someone you knew personally who’s moved on from this life. Or it might be someone you’ve never met, but they could be an ancestor from hundreds of years ago. Whoever appears, they have a message to give.

For example, when I needed a message from an ancestor, a larger than life matriarch figure appeared. She was broad, hard-faced and strong carrying a bucket of water under the baking Tuscan sun. Part of my heritage is Italian/Greek, so this European reference made sense to me. She appeared at a time in my life when I felt I had no agency or strength. She was a symbol of my strength, she lives in me. 🙏🏼

To have the best experience, make sure you find a quiet room in your home, cover yourself with a blanket and use an eye pillow or eye mask to block out any light.
