Japan - Shinshinto Party Inauguration

Описание: (10 Dec 1994) More than 200 opposition members in the Japanese parliament
convened Saturday (10/12) for an inaugural convention of the new
opposition alliance party, Shinshinto (the New Frontier Party). In
a grand choral of Ludwig van Beethoven's Ninth Symphony,
Parliament members from nine noncommunist opposition parties
gathered in Yokohama, south of Tokyo, with a pledge of taking
power from the present tripartite coalition government. Toshiki
Kaifu, who was Japan's prime minister from 1989 to 1991, was
elected party leader.
