We did not finish IC Endurance this year, which was a first for the team since 10 years ago? Anyways long story short a bolt on the throttle neck was over tightened which caused our throttle return throughout the run to become progressively nonexistent. Finn Spooner drove first, and drove excellent for his first ever FSAE Endurance stint with a sticky throttle.
When I got in the car immediately I knew the brakes were on their way out, and I also quickly found out I could not downshift due to the throttle still being open slightly even when I tried to pull it back with the side of my foot. I made it about 1.5 laps in 4th gear before the brake fluid boiled and we flipped the brake over travel switch which cut the fuel. Hence the cut at the end. Anyways we were on track for an easy 2nd overall maybe even 1st. Unfortunate but that is racing.
