For $40 I had my local Laser CNC machine shop cut my out a 1/4" aluminum plate for a new router table insert plate. I sent them a CAD file that I designed and have made available for free on my website (link below). The plate it 100% flat and incorporates air vents for maximum air flow to collect dust via my 4" dust collector port.
