2월 보름달 스노우문(Snow Moon)입니다.

보름달 뜨는 시각이 오후 6시 15분인데 비슷한 시각에 달맞이길 해월정에 도착했는데 아직 보름달은 보이지 않고 해월정 앞의 소나무들에 가리어 바다에서 떠오르는 풍경은 담지를 못했습니다.

날씨가 너무 추워서 손을 잠시만 내고 있어도 손이 얼얼할 정도입니다.
그렇게 떨면서 조금 기다리니 소나무들 사이로 붉은 보름달이 조금씩 보이며 드디어 얼굴을 보여주었습니다.
삼각대를 사용하지 않아 영상이 조금 흔들리니 양해를 바랍니다.

​저녁 6시 31분에 니콘 P900s로 담은 2월 보름달 스노우문은 조명 100%, 월령 14.7일, 사자자리입니다.

​보름달은 월별로 이름이 다 있습니다.
2월 보름달의 다른 이름은 스노우문인데 유래는 전통적으로 북미와 유럽에서는 2월의 보름달을 눈의 달이라고부릅니다.

벌레의 달(웜문) 또는 분홍색 달(핑크문)과 같은 다른 보름달 이름과 달리 이 이름은 그 자체로 많은 설명이 필요하지 않습니다. 2월은 북미에서 가장 많은 눈이 내리는 달이므로 아메리카 원주민 부족은 이를 눈의 달이라고 부릅니다.

일부 부족은 혹독한 기상 조건에서 사냥하기가 어려웠기 때문에 배고픈 달이라고도 불렀습니다.

그리고, 달이 처음 떠오를때에는 완전한 둥근달처럼 보이지 않고 조금 일렁이는 모양과 함께 달이 우리 백자 항아리처럼, 마치 우리 얼굴의 양쪽 볼이 통통한 느낌이라고 생각하세요.


February's full moon is the Snow Moon.

The moon was set to rise at 6:15 PM. I arrived at Haewoljeong Pavilion on Dalmajigil Road just in time, but the thick pine trees hid the moon rising from the sea. The biting cold was so intense that my hands felt numb after just a few moments.

After waiting and shivering in the cold, a crimson full moon finally began to peek through the pine needles. Please excuse the slight camera shake, as I was filming handheld without a tripod in the freezing wind.

Captured at 6:31 PM with my Nikon P900s, this Snow Moon is at 100% illumination, 14.7 days old, situated in the constellation of Leo.

Historically, the February full moon is called the "Snow Moon" in North America and Europe, as it is the month with the heaviest snowfall. Some tribes also called it the "Hunger Moon" due to the harsh hunting conditions. When it first emerges, look closely—it doesn't look perfectly round but shimmers with a slight wobble, resembling the soft, full cheeks of a traditional Korean white porcelain jar.
