These elevators are located at a government office building, one of Tampa's most secure buildings, and in order to ride these, well you can't unless you are visiting someone as you have to pass through security here. I was visiting someone in the building for an appointment. Because of this, I'm keeping the location Undisclosed.
These Elevators are fairly nice and I love the retro blue cabs on these! This building was built in 1978 and is pretty much untouched since opening, except for sadly, one thing, the elevators! These used to be Dover Traditional, but modded in the 2010s by Thyssenkrupp with MAD BS Classic fixtures, New Motors and Controllers, etc. While I do like that they kept the old Dover lanterns and also the cabs the same, and the mod is fairly nice, I certainly would have MUCH rather seen these original!!! But I have no control over the stupid Florida codes, so, it is what it is. That all being said, enjoy the video!
Installed: 1978 (Dover Traditional, unknown if Newer or Older)
Modernized: Circa 2010s (Thyssenkrupp with MAD BS Classic fixtures, New Motors, New Controllers, etc. Cab and Outside lanterns left as is.)
