Pre-Integration -- Brunch Bunch
I started the pre-integration process for the Brunch Bunch (just the boys for now). Some of the clips were taken last week, and the integration is still in progress. I rescued Waffles, who was a singleton and about the same size and age as Grits, because Shrimp wasn’t interested in playing with Grits. Interestingly, Shrimp has become much more engaging and playful lately.
Before letting everyone meet face-to-face, I like to do a pre-integration where they get to see, smell, and hear each other through some sort of barriers. This week, they got to meet face-to-face briefly. It didn’t go as smoothly as it did with previous groups like Bears or Pumpkin & Patch. Waffles is definitely not used to playing with other kittens. If he were a dog, I’d say he’s like a very high-energy, Border Collie who is wound-up, insecure, and lacking bite inhibition. This is going to be interesting! Stay tuned!
