Developed in close collaboration with Slipknot guitarist Jim Root, Fender's Jim Root Jazzmaster V4 is the latest edition of an absolutely crushing metal-oriented axe, with fast playability, super-heavy sound, and stripped-down controls. This Jazzmaster is especially unique in that it does away with some of the hallmarks of the model, such as a vibrato, rhythm circuit, and tone controls. Only the absolute essentials remain: a volume control, a 3-way switch and a hardtail bridge. The Jim Root Jazzmaster V4's set of Daemonum open-coil EMG active pickups provide powerful bass response and booming lows for the brutal tone that Jim’s playing style necessitates, and its mahogany slab body ensures a rock-solid, resonant in-hand feel. And thanks to the guitar’s 12” radius bound ebony fingerboard with jumbo frets, it’s easy to shred on this axe for hours on end, whether you’re playing super-sonic scale runs or the most demanding rhythms. With a stripped-down design, killer tone, and fast, shredder-friendly playability, the Jim Root Jazzmaster V4 is a fantastic Fender guitar that metalheads will love.
