God of War 3 - Skip Half the Game (Speedrun Strategy NG+)

Описание: Well after a bit of experimenting Ive managed to pull off the "Early chain break" sort of. But the results are massive, everything from the "first crank turn" at the "Blue Flame" all the way to the "first Zeus fight" has now been officially skipped.

You can try it out for yourself, this is how you do this skip:
1. Skip the Judges by doing a Jet Dash directly from the swinging grapples before them to the first portal.

2. Break all the blue onyx stones at the back of the judges heads.

IMPORTANT: Pull the lever BEFORE breaking the 3rd stone on the back of the Judge's head. (If you pull the lever after breaking the 3rd stone, game crashes)

3. Jump over the head of the 3rd judge to get to the chain's base (dont use the portal, the game crashes if you do that).

4. Break the chain, (but dont go near the Pandora statue because the game can crash). From there, the cutscene of the chain breaking will play. But at the end of it Kratos will still be at the base of the chain. This is ok, we have set up the glitch/skip. Youll notice at that point that the judges are missing completely.

5. From there play the game as normal, do any normal skips along the way.

6. After meeting Hermes is where it gets interesting. You meet Hermes and then climb up the chain for the first time. But when you get to the top of the chain to the blue flame and pull the crank (for the first time), you dont get the cutscene of the judges pulling the chain back down. Instead the game lets you open the flame on the first attempt at pulling the crank.

You then DONT get the cutscene of the judges. Instead, you get the cutscene of Kratos successfully pulling the crank and then you get to fight Zeus, and the rest of the game loads normally from there.

7. With this glitch you skip:
(a) The entire Hermes section.
(b) The entire music puzzle.
(c) The entire Hercules fight and tutorial after it.
(d) The Poseidon's Chamber section.
(e) The entire Cronos Section.
(f) The Study section.
(g) The entire Olympian Garden section.
(h) The entire Labrynth section, complete with scorpion and Pandora sections. (Not including the short time Kratos meets Hermes there.)
(i) The entire second section where you see the judges for a second time. And so on, all the way to the first Zeus fight.

The rest of the game loads normally after that. Im not sure how much time it would carve off a speedrun, but it would be quite a bit.

~I stress again, Im not sure what the bare minium is that needs to be done to pull off this skip. In this vid I did what worked, Im sure it can be refined.
