Hey everyone,
This is a bit of a different video.
I was just messing around in Battlefield 6 and thought:
how does bullet damage actually work?
So I started testing… and found out there’s way more going on than just
“the base damage” in the menu.
In this video I’ll show you what I discovered:
Why “base damage” isn’t really a fixed number
How the game rounds damage with weird decimals
That you can sometimes kill with less than 100 damage
How damage drop-off works (PW7A2 example: around 20m, –15%)
And why game engines use floating point numbers
I just enjoy testing this stuff and thought it would be fun to share.
