We successfully weaned from daytime bottles at 23 months & now bedtime bottles at 2.5 years old! I know it’s later than what doctors recommend, but parents know their children & what goes on inside their home best. Why do I need to wean my baby/toddler off the bottle?🍼
The AAP recommends eliminating the bottle by 18 months because prolonged bottle usage increases a child’s risk of tooth cavities, tooth decay, improper dental development, iron deficiency, and childhood obesity due to imbalanced nutrition levels.
