Para Bellum: The Jarl leads the Nords to conquest!

On the other hand it's nice to work on a Conquest model. It's been a while and almost all of my resin figures are painted at this point... at least until we see the new artisan series or the feathered dinosaur riders.
The Jarl here has to be one of the nicest models in the Conquest line. He may not be the coolest in my opinion- I'd probably give that award to the Herald of Fire, or possibly to the W'adrhun Scion of Conquest as they're a bit more fantastical and more to my own eclectic tastes.
This guy seems a bit more grounded in reality than those models mentioned, but the detail work on him is quite impressive. His pose and scenic base make for an excellent beginning to a diorama or vignette model. There's a very strong presence and sense of identity with this model, much more so than any of the other character figures for Conquest. I can't quite put my finger on it.
I'd say if you like painting models at a larger scale, this might be one worth picking up. He's absolutely larger than a regular GW figure and there's so many different textures and patterns going on with his gear you'll have a heck of a time painting a variety of different styles on him.
Me? I'll keep it simple so I can get him geared up for playing First Blood!
