The insulation on cables is manufactured and designed as per NFC, IEC, BS EN, and IS standards to withstand extreme temperatures and intense exposure to sunlight and various weather conditions.

Axis distribution box is tested under IEC 60695 ensuring its flame retardant at 960°C thus ensuring protection to the surroundings and internal networks.

The accessories required to install a spring-loaded distribution box are as follows -

1. Pole brackets
2. Straps and buckles
3. Distribution Box
4. Oxide inhibiting compound

The following are the tools you will need to help install the distribution box -

1. Cable insulation stripper
2. Strap-binding tool
3. Hammer


Following are the range of distribution box -

1. Single-phase distribution box
2. Three-phase distribution box

Procedure to mount distribution box -

1. Locate the distribution box on the pole and pass the strip from the slot of the distribution box.
2. Locate the ends of the bracket into the holes of the strip.
3. Fasten the bracket using the nuts and washers. Apply the same on the second bracket.
4. Open the box using the special key supplied with the box.

Following is the color scheme used to represent the phase and neutral cables in Axis Distribution boxes -

1. In the Single-Phase distribution box - Red represents the phase. Black represents the neutral cable.

2. In the Three-Phase Distribution Box - Red, Yellow, and Blue represent the three-phase cables. Black represents the neutral cable.

Procedure to install cables in the distribution box -

1. Strip the incoming cables up to the required length and clean the strands.

Note - You can apply the oxide inhibiting compound additionally if required

2. Lift the spring-loaded lever to accommodate the stripped cable then release.

3. Repeat these steps for outgoing cables.

4. Lock the distribution box with the special key after the installation of cables.
