মকর সংক্রান্তির মহাপুণ্য লগ্নে জঙ্গলমহলে বড়সড় জনসংযোগ সারলেন বিরোধী দলনেতা শুভেন্দু অধিকারী। বুধবার ঝাড়গ্রামের মানিকপাড়ায় প্রায় দেড় হাজার লোধা-শবর সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষের সঙ্গে উৎসবে সামিল হন তিনি। এদিন এক শবর পরিবারের মাটির বাড়িতে বসে পাত পেড়ে মধ্যাহ্নভোজ সারেন শুভেন্দু। মেনুতে ছিল একেবারে সাবেকি জঙ্গলমহলের ছোঁয়া—গরম ভাত, ডাল, আলুপোস্ত, সবজির তরকারি এবং মকর সংক্রান্তির বিশেষ গুড়-পিঠে। দুপুরের ভোজের আগে তিনি শবর পরিবারগুলোর হাতে শীতের কম্বল, গোবিন্দভোগ চাল এবং নতুন গুড় তুলে দেন। ২০২৬-এর বিধানসভা নির্বাচনের আগে জঙ্গলমহলের পিছিয়ে পড়া শ্রেণির মানুষের কাছে পৌঁছে যাওয়ার এই রণকৌশল রাজনৈতিকভাবে অত্যন্ত তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ বলে মনে করছে ওয়াকিবহাল মহল। শুভেন্দু অধিকারীর এই ঝাড়গ্রাম সফরের বিশেষ মুহূর্তগুলো দেখুন শুধুমাত্র জি ২৪ ঘণ্টায়।

On the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti, the Leader of the Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, conducted a major outreach program in Junglemahal. He joined the celebrations with around 1,500 people from the Lodha-Shabar community in Manikpara, Jhargram. Suvendu had a traditional lunch at a Shabar family's residence, sitting on the floor in a humble setting. The menu featured authentic local flavors—steamed rice, dal, aloo posto, mixed vegetable curry, and special 'Gur-Pithe' for the occasion. Before the lunch, he distributed winter blankets, Gobindobhog rice, and fresh jaggery to the families. With the 2026 Assembly polls in sight, this strategic visit to connect with the marginalized communities of Junglemahal is being viewed as a significant move.
