Sometimes, it’s just part of life. Part of the culture. Quietly accepted.
But what does that really feel like from the inside?

I’m Afro Thai Cher — a mixed Black and Thai woman, born and raised in Thailand.
And this is my story.

I was raised by my stepmom, the main wife, since I was just three months old.
She took me in, loved me, protected me, and gave me a home.
She’s tough on the outside, but she’s my everything. I will always love and respect her.

I didn’t meet my real mom — the woman who loved my dad without knowing he already had a family — until I was 13 years old.
She didn’t choose to be the “other woman.”
She was just another woman who believed she was the only one.

This video isn’t about judgment — it’s about truth.
About growing up between two women, two worlds, and one man who kept things hidden.

Even now, I sometimes feel like I don’t fully belong.
My siblings love me, but some still carry the pain of what my father did — and because of that, they struggle to accept my mother.

Side chick culture in Thailand isn’t always loud.
Sometimes, it’s just quiet, messy, and woven into the lives of people who had no say in it — like the children.
