Today, Joanne Frye is joined by Caroline Boyle — a breathwork practitioner and coach who helps people reconnect with their bodies, steady their nervous systems, and find calm when life feels anything but calm.

Caroline’s work is deeply personal. After sitting with her father whilst he breathed his last, she became profoundly aware of the power of breath. Sadly not long after, she was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer requiring 16 rounds of chemotherapy. Later to discover she carries the BRCA gene, with extensive surgery also becoming part of her treatment journey.

In the middle of all the fear and uncertainty, Caroline found something that helped her cope one day at a time: breathwork. What started as a simple morning practice became a lifeline - and later, a calling. Caroline went on to train with Hale in Sweden and now supports others through illness, recovery, pain, stress, and the sheer emotional weight of being human.

This episode is gentle, hopeful, practical and surprisingly funny in places too.
