Corrupted ghost replay 2 - Mario Kart World

I think the issue definitely comes from the 100-ghost-limit message "You cannot download any more ghost data. Do you want to delete all ghosts data to make room?" just like last time. If you accept the prompt, it seems that the next ghost you download (in my case: the Mario Bros. Circuit ghost) will be corrupted.

If you attempt to play that corrupted ghost (here the Mario Bros. Circuit ghost), it will instead play the previous ghost you watched (here the Crown City ghost), but with the background music + minimap of the corrupted ghost map (Mario Bros. Circuit). Also, many track elements will not load, for example here the Crown City cars or even the road before the big ring at the top of the city.

If you have not watched any ghost replay in the same session already ( = since you launched the game), the replay will simply stop after about 1 second then restart.

I doubt it will be fixed by Nintendo, unlike the "Watch Replay" bug which caused the game to replay the wrong ghost and was fixed in version 1.2.1 (2025-08-18). Indeed, even as someone who downloads many ghosts, I rarely get the 100-ghost-limit message; I think I saw it 3 times so far.

That's probably because a lot of the world record holders often improve their own time. If you already have a player's ghost downloaded, then that player improves his time and you download his new ghost, the game will automatically overwrite the previous ghost without even asking you, unlike in Mario Kart 8 where the game would keep both ghosts.
