Protesters clashed with riot police in Serbia on Saturday following a major rally against President Aleksandar Vučić.
Riot police were deployed around government buildings and near a camp of Vučić’s supporters in central Belgrade after an estimated 140,000 people attended the student-led demonstration.
Violence broke out overnight, with protesters throwing flares at police, prompting officers to use force to disperse the crowds.
The unrest follows months of demonstrations, largely led by university students, demanding snap elections.
President Vučić has been in power for 12 years, with his current term not set to expire until 2027.
