Welcome to the second "Major Snow Event" of 2026.
This massive January 25th blizzard is even bigger than the last one, with some parts of the GTA seeing an incredible 60 + cm of accumulation.
Today, January 25, 2026, is officially a "Major Snow Event" in Toronto, with some areas seeing up to 60 cm+ of snow.
Environment Canada notes that this is nearly double the typical snowfall for this time of year, making it one of the snowiest days in the city's history.
In this video, I’m out in thick of it to show you why the city has declared another emergency response. Between the 5–8 cm per hour snowfall rates and the whiteout conditions, the streets are nearly unrecognizable.
