In this episode, I reflect on my posting in Sahiwal during 1996–97 — a formative period in my career as a young civil servant.
At the time, Pakistan was going through major political changes. As part of the district administration, I witnessed firsthand how elections are managed, how law and order is maintained, and how governance functions at the grassroots level.
