🌿 A Conversation with Dr. Prameela
Root Cause. Energy. Agni. Living Ayurveda.
At the sacred healing village of Vaidyagrama, I had the honor of sitting in conversation with Dr. Prameela — a physician rooted deeply in the classical tradition of Ayurveda.
Our dialogue explored the heart of Ayurvedic wisdom — not as theory, but as lived medicine.
🌱 Treating the Root Cause
In Ayurveda, we do not chase symptoms.
Headaches, inflammation, anxiety, insomnia — these are signals, not the problem itself.
Dr. Prameela explained that Ayurveda always asks:
Where did the imbalance begin?
The process involves:
Understanding your constitution (Prakriti)
Identifying your current imbalance (Vikriti)
Assessing digestion, lifestyle, emotional state, and environment
Supporting detoxification where needed
Rebuilding strength and stability gently
Healing is not suppression.
Healing is restoration of balance at the source.
🌿 Holistic Healing
True healing in Ayurveda is multidimensional:
Body
Mind
Emotions
Spirit
Food, sleep, daily rhythm, breath, thoughts — everything matters.
The goal is harmony, not perfection.
🔥 The Three Energies: Vata, Pitta & Kapha
Dr. Prameela beautifully described the three doshas as intelligent forces of nature within us:
Vata
Air & Ether
Movement, creativity, nervous system
Pitta
Fire & Water
Transformation, digestion, metabolism
Kapha
Earth & Water
Stability, immunity, structure
Each of us carries all three — but in unique proportions.
Imbalance occurs when one becomes excessive or depleted.
Ayurveda teaches us how to live in rhythm with our constitution.
🔥 Agni — The Sacred Fire
Agni is the digestive fire.
But it is more than digestion of food.
It is:
The digestion of experience
The transformation of emotion
The clarity of perception
When Agni is strong:
Digestion is smooth
Mind is clear
Energy is steady
When Agni is weak or disturbed:
Toxins (Ama) accumulate
Inflammation rises
The mind becomes foggy
Strengthening Agni is central to Ayurvedic healing.
🌼 Dr. Prameela’s Message for Those New to Ayurveda
“Ayurveda is not complicated,” she shared gently.
“It is learning to live in awareness.
To eat what suits you.
To sleep when your body asks.
To listen to early signs before disease develops.”
Ayurveda is preventive, not reactive.
It teaches responsibility without blame.
It is not about extreme rules — but about conscious living.
🌙 Eat Healthy. Sleep Peacefully.
Dr. Prameela ended with a simple reminder:
If you eat appropriately for your constitution
And you sleep deeply and peacefully
You are already practicing Ayurveda.
Healing does not always begin with medicine.
It begins with rhythm.
This conversation was not just educational — it was grounding.
A return to simplicity.
A return to listening.
A return to balance.
If you feel called to experience Ayurveda authentically, Vaidyagrama is a place where healing is lived, not marketed.
