Flying intercontinental on a C172 is a great experience! Here we flew from Jerez LEJR to Rabat GMME, Morocco's capital on September 5th, 2017.
VFR flights within Morocco are expected to fly along certain VFR routes. The route we were flying was LINTO (border waypoint between Madrid and Casablanca FIRs), Asilah, Larache and IBDIR. We were asked about our ETAs and requested to perform several position reports.
A standard position report includes:
Callsign
Position and time overhead (UTC)
Flight Level (or altitude)
Next waypoint and estimated time overhead
Ensuing point
