Created by George Close of Kiel, Wisconsin, the Close Carpet is an easy-to-tie no-hackle dry fly which can be fished to imitate almost any mayfly dun.

Thread: Brown (or your choice)

Body: Deer body hair
Wing: Deer body hair
Thorax: Synthetic carpet fibers
