The Hayes SmartModem 1200, which I found in the bottom drawer of a mud-filled filing cabinet outdoors, is finally repaired and working perfectly. I didn't even expect to persevere through these weeks of effort. I even released a statement saying that I'd given up. Fool's on you. I never give up. :)
