Bluvenduo is a musical encounter between guitarists Zhanxiang Shi (Shanghai) and Sebastian Robles (Edmonton). The duo formed in San Francisco during their first year of study with their teacher Judicaël Perroy. Since their inception, the duo has continued to diversify their repertoire with pieces that are enhanced by the simultaneously expressive and percussive sound of the guitar. Their repertoire includes dreamy piano preludes by Rachmaninoff, Dusan Bogdanovic's exhilarating Sonata Fantasia, and Sebastian's adventurous compositions. The duo actively collaborates with composers to create new works: with a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, they recently commissioned a large piece from Czech composer Lukas Janata. The piece, entitled XII: Antiphōna, had its premiere on December 16, 2022 in Geneva. Zhanxiang and Sebastian are currently studying with Judicaël Perroy at the Haute école de musique de Genève where they are honing their craft and are eager to share their music on stage.

Classical guitars are our passion! We are specialized in the highest quality concert guitars as well as historic guitars from around the world. Our passion for these unique instruments and the joy to give guitarists, passionate players, and collectors the possibility to purchase their own appropriate instrument is the motivation that drives us. Another focus is to work closely with established and young, largely unknown luthiers. Together we want to develop new ideas and share experiences with our customers. We also recorded pieces for many great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla and Isaac Albeniz (Asturias).
