The lesson then stresses the righteousness and justice of the gospel: God makes no exceptions (Romans 2:11), illustrated by God bruising the sinless Christ for sin (Isaiah 53:10), and by examples of humans making exceptions for righteousness (Adam, Aaron, Ananias and Sapphira, Eli, and Peter rebuked in Galatians 2:11–14). Final judgment hinges on faith or unbelief in the gospel alone.
