Description :


Dong Dongdong, the top music producer from mainland China, is specially invited by the director of the TV series “The Song of Glory” as the music director to create music in collaboration with his wife, Chen Xi. The characters are perfectly shaped and their stories are vividly told through five different songs.


If you just read along to the lyrics written by Chen Xi without listening to the song first, the melody seems to play amid the tone and sense of language. “Your silhouette lingers, setting the sadness in my heart on fire. The moment we brush against each other, I have fallen in love with you, …in love with you”; “My deep love for you helplessly strands in shallow fate. The destiny is in your hands. In this life, I wish I could never leave you, ...never leave you”. As the rhyme scheme flows, scenes flash one by one and the entanglements between protagonists in the drama are embodied in listeners’ mind. Without even a single traditional Chinese musical instrument being used, the music arrangement is so exquisitely layered that it correspondingly delivers each type of emotion at the most appropriate phrase in this song. When Zhou Shen’s voice appears in this song, it can only be described as — “The deep song is so beautiful as a dream that you wish to be forever mesmerized and never regain sober mien.”


In the verse part with piano accompaniment, the ethereal vocal is like a pure and clean stream slowly flowing. Then the illusions of flowers reflecting in a mirror and the moon reflecting in the water are broken down, transforming into the rising tides... “In mistaken love for life because of you, in obsessive love for life because of you” - This is the part which requires the greatest emotion outbursts. Through Zhou Shen’s clear and resonant voice, you can truly feel the steady power of that strong emotion.
