This week on Southern Charm, everyone names their pets like they’re filling out HR paperwork, Salley builds a chicken coop to prove she’s “not crazy,” and Craig does what he does best: emotionally hosts two women for a month and then closes one wing of the hotel.

Salley finally admits she has feelings. Craig finally admits he doesn’t. Friendship is declared. Feelings are shattered. Chickens are named Linda and Naomi. No one is well.

What follows is a slow-motion implosion involving hot tubs, late-night texts, Orange Crush–fueled gossip, and a group of adults acting shocked that mixed signals have consequences. Craig insists he wasn’t leading anyone on. Salley insists she’s been manipulated all summer. Everyone else insists on making it worse.

At its core, this episode is about effort vs. desire, being “too much,” and the specific humiliation of realizing you auditioned for a role that was never available. Also: tornado metaphors, pajama-party betrayal, and a man calling a date a “win” before it technically exists.
