Описание: Hi! My name is Ashley! Welcome to my channel. Flutemaker Geoffrey Ellis and I have collaborating on a redesign of his line of quenas. Here is an example of the final version in bocote wood. I wanted to show you all what they sound like, so I picked one of my absolute favorite Andean songs, "El Condor Pasa," to showcase it's voice. The song is a parade tune from the Peruvian zarzuela titled "El Condor Pasa" composed by Daniel Alomía Robles in 1913. He based this melody off of the traditional Andean music of Peru. There have been hundreds of covers performed/recorded across the globe since, and is considered the second national anthem of Peru. Amongst all these covers, Simon and Garfunkel recorded one of the more well-known US versions in 1970. I can't tell you how much I absolutely adore this melody AND this instrument! 💕 Thank you for listening and I hope that you enjoy my quena cover!
