Jones, writer of "Days of Steel Rain: The Epic Story of a WWII Vengeance Ship in the Year of the Kamikaze" a book which focuses on the USS Astoria, USS Wilkes-Barre, USS Springfield, USS Pasadena, and other ships serving in the Pacific in the latter days of WWII.
