Описание: it is important for a fast RIB setup to be able to go slow. very few people realize that. Here I m demonstrating a setup with light 2stroke engines, torquey at a wide range of rpm, power lifts used to dip the drives deep and achieve a low plane speed of about 12 knots, able to tackle straight on adverse sea state with minimal fatigue for equipment and passengers. zero spray also achieved in the head on course. increasing the angle of the course would give an even smoother ride and allow for higher speeds but would introduce spray. The wind here was measured at 25 knots . It s an open sea directly under an ugly area of the aegean known as 'cavo D Oro'. even though the ride seems bumpy, I assure you it is quite smooth and relaxed. Many many boats can go slow and easily tackle such sea state, but few boats/setups can achieve that while able to exceed 60 knot speeds and economy of 1,6 liter/n.mile at around 30 knots.
