Machattu Mamangam is a vibrant and culturally significant temple festival held at the Machattu Thiruvanikavu Temple. This five-day celebration, honoring Goddess Bhagavathi, is most famous for its grand procession featuring Kuthirakolams, beautifully adorned horse effigies.
The Kuthirakolams are the centerpiece of the festival, intricately decorated and paraded in a majestic procession on the final day. The sight of these stunning horse effigies, surrounded by a burst of colors, cheers, and applause, creates a truly spectacular spectacle.
