Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju criticised the Opposition for bringing another motion when the government was ready to discuss their resolution against the Speaker, which was on the day's agenda. Rijiju stated he had never seen such an irresponsible Opposition party in his lifetime, accusing them of not understanding the basic ethics and rules of the House. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar delivered a statement on the West Asia war situation and energy security concerns, but the Opposition continued raising slogans. The Chair offered to allow KC Venugopal to speak on the motion he had brought, but the Opposition refused to take up their own resolution. The proceedings were adjourned till 3 pm.
