Описание: The richness of Bengali folk music, and Rabindra Sangeet in particular, if I were to summarize in one line, I’d say 'So simple, yet so sophisticated'. I’ve listened to sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan’s version of Ekla Cholo Re, performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, more than 250 times, and it still puts me in a serotonin-high, almost meditative zone every single time. This is my humble take on it. This is my humble interpretation of the same.

While playing, I realized it carried vibes similar to Monta Re, so midway through the folk song, I switched to it.

Jab duniya sari, dar ke age sar apna jhukaye,
Tu shola banja, Wo shola banja, Jo khud jal ke jahan raushan karde,
Ekla jalo re.

When dark clouds cover the sky, When darkness engulfs the truth,
When the world cowers and bows before fear,
You be the flame, The flame that burns you and banishes darkness from the world,
(be not afraid) Burn alone my friend.
