How to Pick Okra at Peak Tenderness | The Best Crunch and Flavor!

Описание: Our first planting of okra in the backyard garden this year was a trial comparing around seven different varieties. And while it was nice comparing all those varieties, the hot dry weather didn't allow us to get very many significant harvests.

As a result, we planted three more rows of okra for a fall crop. This time we planted one of our favorites that a viewer sent us last year. We call it "Ruiz okra" and it's definitely a home run variety for us. It's been about two months since we planted this Ruiz okra and we're finally ready for our first harvest! We'll show you how productive this variety is and at what lengths the pods stay tasty and tender.

We'll also provide an update on our fall potato planting which has definitely tested our patience. Although they've taken a while to sprout, they seem to all be popping out the ground now.

Lastly, we'll show you what we think is the most beautiful fig we've ever grown. This GE Neri variety produces absolutely massive figs in late summer/early fall and they're absolutely delicious too!
