Simila Pass - Simila Pass, located in the Shannan Prefecture of Tibet, is a high-altitude mountain pass known for its breathtaking views and cultural significance. Yamdrok Lake is one of the three holy lakes of Tibet, along with Lake Mansarovar. The Turquoise Jewel of Tibet. It is known locally as Yamdrok Yumtso, is one of the most stunning and sacred lakes in Tibet. Situated at an altitude of 4,441 meters (14,570 feet) in the Shannan Prefecture, this lake is revered not only for its breathtaking beauty but also for its spiritual significance in Tibetan Buddhism. The lake spans over 100 kilometers (45 miles) and has a unique, fan-like shape with multiple inlets and islands. It is one of Tibet’s largest freshwater lakes.

Yamdrok Lake is about 110 kilometers (68 miles) from Lhasa and can be accessed by road, often as part of a day trip or en route to Shigatse. Yamdrok Lake is more than just a natural wonder; it is a place where nature and spirituality converge.
