M4 BMW Experience COTA 18th July 2024 D.Boland

Описание: A few laps around COTA, (Circuit Of The Americas) Austin Texas. One more off the bucket list. It will be very hard to top this one. I want to really thank the COTA team John, Steve the driving instructor and the tire guy who's name I forgot. They were so courteous, patient and helpful. It was a dream come through to race around this F1 track and to have the track solely to myself for one hour was unreal. I also want to thank Yacine Oudaoud, Fluke Laser Alignment instructor from Canada, for coming to the track with me and taking photos some photos. I will return the favour when you book your laps. Last but not least this would not have be as special without Andy Soucek, Vice President, Motorsports Circuit of The Americas who gave me the extra time in the BMW M2 on the Autocross Track and the F1 track all to myself. We had a few little glitches with the booking no fault to anyone but the weather and there was no need for COTA to do anything but they went completely out their way for the Irish Man and I am so grateful, I felt 18 again for an hour. Thank you, Thank you. Always wanted to be a racer and compete but unfortunately money was the major obstacle. This hour on the track made it for me. Best lap 2.37.20. Not bad for the first visit to Cota, I will have to come back and take it 2.30. If I get the left leg braking sorted, I might make it to 2.25??? I have been at the track for the MotoGp and the F1 and it the best. I will have to make it to this years F1 in October. Thank you all again.
