5. Limit Alcohol and Caffeine Intake
When trying to conceive, both alcohol and caffeine intake in high amounts can lower your chances.
A 2011 study published in the British Journal of Pharmacology reports that caffeine appears to reduce the muscle activity in the fallopian tubes that carry eggs from the ovaries to the uterus.
Also, high alcohol intake can lead to multiple fertility problems in women. Some of these problems include amenorrhea, reduced ovarian weight, lowered hormone concentrations, inhibited ovulation and interference with sperm cell transportation through the fallopian tube.
At the same time, drinking alcohol heavily around the time of ovulation lowers your chance of successful conception.
Hence, it is recommended to limit your alcohol and caffeine intake. If possible, avoid them completely.
