Trying to recreate these beloved voices for my grandkids is an embarrassingly ridiculous effort so my profound apologies to those of you who remember the immortal Daws Butler and Don Messick. But to read this story apart from those inflections deprives those kids any personality of these timeless Hanna-Barbera characters. So I've chosen to, well, do my best.
