Weeds grow on paver patios because wind-blown seeds settle into the joints between the pavers and when they get wet, the seeds germinate.
To kill the weeds, I recommend using a weed killer that tells you it lasts for a year. The weed killer will kill the existing weeds and stop the seeds in the cracks from germinating. I personally recommend Ortho Ground Clear Concentrate. It costs about $30 to buy a gallon of concentrate, and the concentrate makes almost six gallons of weed killer. I also recommend buying an Echo 2 gallon pump sprayer. Echo makes really good pump sprays, and being that they are commercial grade applicators, they apply the weed killer quickly and they last longer than cheaper pump sprayers.
