LYME REGIS Day 2 - Kayaking past the Undercliffs Nature Reserve, almost to Axmouth.

Описание: I kayak along the coast (almost to Axmouth) beneath the very special, densely wooded "Undercliffs Natural Nature Reserve", a wild area historically left alone, as it has been subject to slippage, many times. There is a pathway up it from the beach, but it is supposedly closed owing to the danger of slippage.

I didn't go ashore as I wanted to dedicate a whole day to it, walking up from Charton Bay Beach. This I do two days later...see the upcoming video " DAY 3 - A trip to Charton Bay, and a walk up the UnderCliffs Natural Nature Reserve", to be uploaded to my channel soon.

On my return, the predicted wind and waves did build up, as usual, though not too much, but enough to swamp my kayak a couple of times.
No problem now I have a proper baler!

The swells/waves built up significantl;y when they met the "Cobb" Lyme Regis's imposing harbour wall.
As I approached the harbour, a fairly large fishing boat was coming in at full pelt, from directly out at sea. An altercation ensued....

I was tossed around like a cork in a washing machine, and swamped by it's bow-wave!
It didn't spoil a most wonderful day, in fact it actually enhanced it!
