Описание: Autumn olive (elaeagnus umbellata) and Russian Olive (elaeagnus angustifolia) are non-native invasive plants (deciduous shrubs or trees) and removal can seem daunting. We have partnered with the USDA on an #EQIP cost sharing program to remove and control the invasive Autumn Olive and Russian Olive trees in our forests to improve oak reforestation in southeastern Ohio. In this video the focus on is basal bark application in the Spring, actually the month of April, using Crossbow herbicide with diesel. Crossbow is a speciality herbicide for trees and shrubs and is comprised of 2 4 D and triclopyr.

We will discuss the overall EQIP contract
We will discuss how to mix Crossbow and Diesel and the mix ratios
We will discuss past challenges with the cut stump method on autumn olive using glyphosate
