Ben’s innovative moves and Micah’s keen eye for action make for a great team. Their shared understanding of martial arts, character-based action, and dynamic camera work lends to fun seamless collaboration.

Ben and Billy Matt Thompson (@brofessionalbilly ) share a passion for historical European martial arts and a professional background in film stunts. You can see more of their sword and weapon choreography at @amalgamswordcompany

Strong shapes and the feeling of a collaborative dance were the goals for this previs.
The team drew on numerous sources of inspiration: European swordplay and ballroom dance, swashbuckling films, Chinese-style flourishes and footwork transitions, anime-inspired angles, and Hong-Kong-style editing.
