I created this short video because many people ask me to hear the sound of the Hammond organ I have in my recording studio. Of course, this is just a small taste of the sonic possibilities it offers – it can become much softer but also much more aggressive, reaching total distortion!
As some of you might not know, the Hammond A100 is exactly the same organ as the famous B3 and C3. The only difference between the three models lies in the cabinet design. In the case of the A100, an internal amplification system with speakers beneath the keyboard and a spring reverb was added, which are completely absent in the other two models. What made the B3 and C3 particularly famous was that, lacking internal amplification and speakers, they weigh a bit less and are slightly more portable for stage performances.
