The National Gallery of Australia is an interesting place to look around when visiting Canberra.
I took my action camera. I didn't know if they'd let me use it, but they said as long as I didn't extend the stick, it was ok to use. (It's on an extendable pole / stick). They said if I extended it, they'd take it off me and put it in security until I was leaving. So I did as instructed and was able to use it. I must say it felt like security staff were watching me at every turn to make sure I didn't extend it. I felt very well supervised, if not, over supervised. But I understand their concerns. They don't want people going in, extending the pole and knocking their displays over.
