In this mini-series on life in Uganda, we look at the challenges people face and how Habitat for Humanity's micro-loans can help build safe, decent homes in Uganda to break the cycle of poverty.
Africa has been portrayed as a continent of hopelessness, but we are proud to show that it is in fact a land of opportunities and hope! It's a matter of understanding the situation and what causes poverty, i.e. what limits people's potential.
Breaking the cycle of poverty is a slow process but we guide our microloans partners all the way, providing financial literacy and job skills training whenever possible.
