Battle of Sedan : May 1940
Battle of Sedan is part of the German massive offensive using Blitzkrieg tactic to capture France.
The Goal is to cut of and in circle the British and French Forces guarding the English canal.
the attack started on May 10th 1940 with 2 Army groups, Army group A started an invade on Belgium and Netherlands.
Army Group B will push through the Ardennes on the way to the town of forest to complete the encirclement.
The French prepared a defensive line made of thousands of bunkers, trenches and anti tank ditches supported by artillery fire.
but the Germans succeed use its Blitzkrieg tactic to go around the french defensive line targeting Paris after Sedan.
Result : Germany reach its goals and captures France.
