This new song is a gift to our human civilization which is suffering so immensely right now. Tania de Jong was fortunate to spend a week living with Ram Dass (Richard Alpert) in 2018, not long before he passed over. She holds this precious time as one of her most treasured experiences and specifically remembers Ram Dass saying to her that “We are all walking each other home”. The quote offers a comforting and uplifting message about the human experience, reminding us that we are all part of something larger than ourselves and that we are all connected by our shared journey through life. Just reaching out a caring and loving hand to another human being can change everything and remind us that we all belong here now.

The phrase "We are all just walking each other home" is often attributed to the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi, though it's also associated with the teachings of Ram Dass. The quote suggests that life is a shared journey, where we are all guiding each other along the way, and the destination ("home") is a metaphorical state of being rather than a physical place.
Shared Journey:
The phrase emphasizes the interconnectedness of humanity. We are not solitary travellers; rather companions on a journey together.
Guiding Each Other:
We can learn from and support each other, providing guidance and companionship along the way.
"Home" as a Metaphor:
The concept of "home" is not a physical destination, but rather a feeling of belonging, peace, and connection. It can be a state of mind or heart, often associated with love, compassion, and spiritual awareness.
LYRICS
Om Mani Padme Hum (repeated mantra)
Hand in hand we stand together
Walking onward, we are ONE.
Hand in hand we stand together
We are walking each other home.
Light your candle, sing together
Walking onward, we are ONE.
Let love gather
Let prayer heal us
Kindness guides you to lead the way
Hand in hand we stand together
Walking onward, we are ONE.
Hand in hand we stand together
We are walking each other home.
Om Mani Padme Hum (repeated mantra)
"Om mani padme hum" is a six-syllable mantra in Sanskrit and Tibetan Buddhism, associated with the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, the embodiment of compassion. It is a powerful prayer often recited for purification, and the six syllables represent a path to enlightenment through the union of method and wisdom.
Here's a breakdown of the meaning:
Om: Represents the pure body, speech, and mind of a Buddha, symbolizing the entirety of the universe.
Mani: Means "jewel" and symbolizes the path of method, including altruistic intention, compassion, and love.
Padme: Means "lotus" and symbolizes wisdom, the understanding of reality.
Hum: Represents the spirit of enlightenment, the completion of the path.
The mantra essentially embodies the idea that by cultivating compassion and wisdom, we can purify our minds and achieve enlightenment. It is believed to be a powerful tool for personal transformation and the liberation of oneself and others.
