The Outback Way runs from Laverton in WA to Winton in Qld (or the other way if travelling west), and Boulia is the first/last town you negotiate after crossing the border. The town is known for (and promotes itself) as the home of the Min Min lights, an unexplained phenomena, that if encountered on a dark night, tends to scare the crap out of the nervous traveller.
