India–Japan Joint Exercise ‘Dharma Guardian’ Kicks Off in Uttarakhand

Описание: The 7th edition of the India–Japan joint military exercise ‘Dharma Guardian’ has begun in Chaubatia, Uttarakhand.

Over 120 soldiers from each country are participating: Japan’s 32nd Infantry Regiment and India’s Ladakh Scouts. The exercise runs from 24 February to 9 March 2026 at the Foreign Training Node.

The primary aim is to strengthen coordination and teamwork between the two armies, focusing on joint operations in semi-urban areas. Soldiers will practice tactical drills, heliborne missions, room intervention, and modern technology integration to improve operational readiness.

This exercise underscores the growing defence partnership between India and Japan and prepares both nations for future strategic challenges.
